The NAM branch of the BSE following the ISO 17020:2012, to provide the integrity and quality assurance of the metals and metal-alloys (in this case the steel and iron ore) that enter the Indian market.
Recently BSE has entered into a partnership with the Bureau of Standards and Metrology to provide ISO-17020:2012 conformity assessment.

Category:Quality controlThis invention relates to control of the heat which may be released by a steam boiler which is not in operation, for example, when the steam boiler is in a stand-by mode, i.e. not in operation and the turbines connected to the steam boiler are not turning the turbines to drive the steam boiler.
During stand-by, only the condensate is discharged and the water level in the boiler is increased as the heat in the boiler is discharged to the condensate. The present invention has to do with the control of the heat which is released to the condensate.
When the heat released to the condensate exceeds a predetermined maximum heat transfer capacity, the liquid in the condensate rises to the top of the vessel. The quantity of liquid in the condensate does not change much as the heat of evaporation is constant and it is only the quantity of liquid that rises. The rate of rise of the liquid in the condensate will be the maximum allowable rate of rise of the condensate.
The maximum allowable rate of rise of the condensate can be obtained by assuming that the rate of rise of the liquid in the condensate is constant and, consequently, when the heat released to the
